Barbie recently announced the newest members of its Inspiring Women Series. Among them is Maria Tallchief, a member of the Osage Nation and a trailblazer in the Native American community, as well as America's first prima ballerina.
- The doll was designed by Mattel with help from Maria's daughter, Elise.
- Maria was also featured on a US quarter released last year.
