Man of Steal

Good morning and Happy New Year. Have you ever had to be brutally honest with yourself? Hopefully, your circumstances were better than a Colorado man who was caught multiple times in recent weeks attempting to steal a car before finally admitting to police that he “really sucks at this.

Today’s newsletter is a special Decade in Review edition, where we take a look back at some of the highlights of the past ten years and learn more about the decade ahead.

Welcome to 2020

Good morning and Happy New Year from the DONUT family!

As we look ahead to 2020, let’s pause for a moment to reflect on 2019. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support in making this dream a reality. We strive each day to provide accurate, factual information (and different perspectives) to keep you up to date on the events shaping the world around us, along with a daily reminder that we all have the capability to make a positive impact in this life.

Our New Year’s resolution is to continue to further that mission, but we need your help to do so. Before you carry on with your plans for the day, please take 10 minutes to fill out this survey to let us know how we’re doing - your answers will help shape the DONUT's focus in 2020. Ten lucky respondents will receive a package full of DONUT merch and a personal, handwritten note from our team - plus a special surprise we know you'll love. The survey will be live through Sunday night and the winners will be notified Monday.

Have something else you’d like to chat about? Just hit reply and give me a piece of your mind. Once again, a sincere thank you for your support, we would be nothing without it.

Onward and upward,
Peter, Founder/CEO of the DONUT

Housekeeping note: the DONUT will be off tomorrow and will return to our normal weekday schedule this Friday.

Dose of Knowledge Answer

A) Smallpox

English physician Edward Jenner introduced the world’s first vaccine in 1796 when he observed and subsequently demonstrated that patients who had previously caught cowpox were immune to the smallpox virus.
