• C) Napoleon Bonaparte suffers defeat at the hands of the Duke of Wellington at Waterloo in Belgium, bringing an end to the Napoleonic era of European history.
• D) Less than two hours into its dive to tour the wreckage of the Titanic, the deep-sea submersible Titan suffers a catastrophic implosion, killing all five passengers on board. Among the dead is Stockton Rush, founder and CEO of the company that built Titan and organized undersea tours.
