• C) After a dominant showing, the US women’s national team brings home a record fourth FIFA World Cup title and its second in a row. The team set a women’s World Cup record with 26 goals and 12 straight wins, joining Germany as the only teams with repeat championships.
• D) Joan of Arc's conviction for heresy is overturned at an appeal proceeding, nullifying the charges against her. Unfortunately, she had been burned at the stake 25 years earlier.
