👆💃 Eighty-year-old Mary Zirbel is a proud member of the Sun City Poms, a cheerleading squad based out of Arizona with all members above 55. 

The Poms were founded in 1979 and are a bit of a legend in the Phoenix area. The ladies perform at 40-50 events a year in their sparkling sequin uniforms. 

  • "I thought maybe I was getting too old this year," the octagenarian said of the squad's triumphant return this season after the pandemic. "But I've got the energy. I've got more energy than most people and I really do like it, and I said this week there's no thinking this year that I'm going to quit."

New Hampshire resident Cam Laundry is counting his lucky stars after his dog Tinsley saved him and a friend from the bitter cold when his truck rolled off the freeway.

Stuck upside down with hypothermia already setting in, Tinsley wiggled her way out of the totaled truck and ran along the side of the busy highway until she found police cars.

Rescuing Rudolf

Four-year-old Nico Lavallée loves his stuffed deer named Rudolf. Rarely letting the stuffie out of his sight, Nico was understandably distraught when, on a family walk along the Rideau Canal, his younger brother impulsively grabbed the deer and tossed him into the frozen water below. Unable to reach the surface below them, the boys' mom, Brenda, heartbrokenly told Nico that Rudolf may be stuck for good.
