You're looking at Jonathan, the world's oldest tortoise, clocking in at a ripe 190 years old (!). He was originally a gift for Sir William Grey-Wilson, governor of the Bahamas, and believed to have been born around 1832.

  • The tortoise now lives on St. Helena and is easily one of the island's most popular residents, spending most days happily munching on his daily lettuce leaves while basking in the sun.(There has to be a gratitude lesson in here somewhere... )
