Last month, the Parksville Fire Department released an official press statement welcoming their newest team member: 3-year-old Oliver Lipinski.

🚒 👨‍🚒 The journey... Becoming a junior firefighter was no easy feat for the determined toddler. After working tirelessly on his resume, Oliver turned up at the fire station in full turnout gear, telling the Lieutenant, "I want a job."

He was then taken back for an interview...

  • ...and nailed it. As a result, Oliver was officially invited to join the 2034 recruit class.

💬 What they're saying: "[He's] knowledgeable about fire engines and trucks, can list most parts on a ladder fire truck, and has a basic understanding of hydraulics," reads the statement. "He has completed all episodes of 'Fire Safety with Roy' and successfully completed volume one, firefighting colouring book."
