๐Ÿฆ… Hawk hero... Pest controller Steven Gonzales was working a typical house call in Phoenix, AZ, when he noticed a distressed hawk stuck in a client's pool.

  • The bird was clinging to the drain for dear life, but her drenched wings weighed her down, leaving her unable to fly. Steven sprang into action, holding the hawk by her feet and pulling her safely out of the pool.
  • After perching on his shoulder for awhile, the hawk seemed very calm and grateful following the ordeal. "It didn't want to leave my side," he said. "It just stayed right next to me."
  • So Steven called local bird rescue Wild At Heart, who came to scoop up the hawk. They're currently nursing her back to health before her rerelease.

๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’Ž Lucena in the sky with diamonds... The rescue even let him name the bird; Steven chose to call her Lucena, after his daughter.
