Ring in the River

Emma Lyon was cheering on a sailing team at the River Great Ouse's regatta in Bedford, England, when her wedding ring flew right off her hand and landed in the river, quickly sinking out of sight.

β›΅οΈπŸ’ Family heirloom... The ring had been in her family for nearly a century, belonging to Emma's grandmother before her. So to say she was devasted is an understatement.

  • In a desperate attempt to find the ring, Emma got in touch with the local scubadiving team. Maybe, just maybe, they could find it.
  • The next day, three men hopped into the river to start the search. And to everyone's surprise, the ring was found within minutes.

πŸ’¬ What she's saying: β€œThe divers were absolutely amazing,” Emma told the Bedford Independent. β€œI am just so, so grateful to everyone from the scuba club who gave up their evening to help out and cannot believe [they were] able to find it. It was a total miracle.”
