It's the season of Autumn – but not how you're thinking

Autumn Robinson was born in March 2021 with a 50% chance of survival. 

At only 23 weeks, Autumn was considered a "micro-preemie." She had to stay an entire year in the neonatal intensive care unit, before being moved to pediatric intensive care for another five months. 

• A Momma's girl through and through, Autumn's mom, Tyler, shared that her daughter is a fighter – and fight she did – until she finally headed home late last month. 

⏱ Let's back up: Autumn was only 1.1 pounds when she was born, resulting in a host of medical complications over her first few months on this planet. 

• The "fiesty" baby was diagnosed with a chronic lung disease, called bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), soon after birth and needed specialized treatment at another location. 
• And while Tyler knew it would be a risk to move her daughter to a specialized hospital while so fragile, she trusted it would be worth it in the end. 

🍼 Baby steps... After a few grueling surgeries, including one to implant a breathing tube, Autumn began to gain strength and stamina. That 50/50 chance was looking better and better. 

• "If you're not ready to go, and you want to keep fighting this good fight," Tyler told her daughter in the hospital, per GMA. "Mommy is gonna keep fighting this good fight with you and we're gonna keep doing this together no matter what. I would just pray on my baby, talk to my baby, sing to my baby."

🏠👶🚶‍♀️ Homeward bound: Finally, after 524 days in the ICU, Autumn headed home.
