The little turtle that could

This little guy pictured above has quite the story. 

The tiny six-inch turtle, probably less than a year old, washed up upside down on a beach in Ireland earlier this month. Found by a family out for a walk, the little turtle was cold, stunned, dehydrated, very lethargic, and couldn't swim or move. 

🤔 Hey, this isn't the East Australian Current... Rescuers think the turtle journeyed over 4,000 miles from the coast of Florida to reach Ireland – or across the entire Atlantic Ocean. They named the little guy Cróga, the Irish word for brave. 

• "Usually, birds would have picked them off or a shark or something would have eaten it or the cold shock from the water would have killed it," said one of the rescuers. "They would also die if washed up on rocks upside down. Being so tiny it’s an absolute miracle it survived."
