NASA astronaut Josh Cassada captured this stunning photo of the northern lights, aka aurora borealis, from the International Space Station (ISS) last week.

  • John is stationed at the ISS, floating 250 miles above Earth, with fellow astronauts Nicole Mann, Koichi Wakata, and Anna Kikina. They've been there since last October.
