🗿🎶 Under the seaaaa

Picture this: you're diving in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the coast of Talamone in Tuscany, Italy, when you come face-to-face with a mystical marble mermaid ⬆️.

As you look around, you realize you're surrounded by what looks like an underwater museum, with almost 40 gigantic statues brimming with fish and other marine life. 

🪨🤨 But this isn't a Little Mermaid remake (does today's newsletter have a theme or what?)... The underwater museum is part of an initiative to tackle illegal trawling practices, which can destroy marine ecosystems if not kept in check.

• The huge statues also provide a structure on which organisms can grow, encouraging more plant life and sea creatures to return to the area🐠.
