Now THAT👆 is a cute kitty.
🐱🐱 The story behind the pic: Twin Amur leopard cubs were born on March 28 at the San Diego Zoo – which is a major win for one of the world's rarest cat species. But they haven't been visible until, much like Punxsutawney Phil on Groundhog Day, the cubs and their mother, Sitka, emerged from their den earlier this week.
💬 What they're saying: With fewer than 300 of the endangered cats left in the world, "witnessing the birth of Amur leopards is always an emotional experience," said Gaylene Thomas, a wildlife care manager at the San Diego Zoo. "There are so few of them left in their native habitat that every birth carries so much weight – and every living individual promises a glimmer of hope."
