💒 I do – the ultimate act of self love

Dorothy “Dottie” Fedeli always dreamed of finding “the one.” Even when her first marriage ended in divorce after nine years, she never gave up on finding the person that would make her happiest.

And finally, just last week, her dream came true. The 77-year-old finally was remarried to her soulmate and best friend – herself.

👰‍♀️ Here comes the bride… Dorothy held her intimate wedding ceremony to herself at the O’Bannan Terrace Retirement Home in Goshen, Ohio, surrounded by family and friends.

• She wore a simple white dress and veil, and even decorated the walker that helped her down the aisle.

👏🗯 What she's saying: “This is something I’ve always wanted,” she shared of the self-love wedding. “I wanted to get married and have a happy life but things didn’t work out that way and now I have a second chance in doing something that’ll make me happy.”

And when asked if she had any advice for people who may also wonder if they’ll ever find love, Dorothy put it simply to WLWT5: "If it's not in the cards for them, then there's something out there that will make them happy and find themselves in life and fulfill their soul.”
