When thinking of his childhood in the 1930s, many of 94-year-old Malcolm Stern's fondest memories are in the back of his father's bright yellow Talbot Darracq.

So, when Malcolm invested in a 3D printer a few years ago, one of the first creations he wanted to build was a replica of his father's beloved car.

πŸš™ What are the chances... As Malcolm scrolled the internet looking for reference photos for his model, he stumbled upon an ad for the same car being sold at an auction nearby.

  • While he had an inkling it might be the one (I mean, how many highlighter yellow vintage Talbot Darracqs could there be out there), he still couldn't believe it when it turned out to be his father's old car all these years later.

❀️ Doing it for dad: Malcolm has spent the last three years restoring the car back to it's nearly original state.

  • "I'm still very excited, very surprised that I'm 94, able to be here and do this and still be fit enough to go out in the car for a ride," he told the BBC. "I think my father would be very proud, he'd be very excited as well."
