Twelve years ago, Mexico City resident Catia Lattouf was deep in grief over the loss of her late husband. A recent cancer survivor as well, many days, the world just seemed too daunting for the grieving widow.

That is... until an injured hummingbird found its way to her window.

Catia nursed the bird back to health and named him Gucci. Helping Gucci gave her purpose again.

  • Now, over a decade later, Catia has transformed her home into a makeshift sanctuary and clinic for injured hummingbirds, becoming a go-to source for the caring of the birds across Latin America.

🙏 That's so gucci: “Gucci wrote a new life for me,” she said. “I made a promise to protect the planet and humanity. I know I’m going to live another 20 years, but one day this legacy must continue without me.”
