In May of 2022, a newborn was left on the steps of a Louisville fire station with a note that simply said: "I love you."

Experienced foster parents Chris and Brittany Tyler applied to foster the baby as soon as his story made the local news. Four days later, he was signed over to their care.

  • The baby spent multiple weeks in the NICU before heading home with Chris, Brittany, and their two adopted sons. As soon as he was home, they knew he was meant to be a permanent part of the family.
  • In December 2023, Samuel Tyler was officially adopted.

๐Ÿซ‚ Love to his mother... Chris and Brittany hope news makes it to Samuel's birth mom that he has found a permanent home. โ€œWhile we may never know her, we understand where her heart was,โ€ Chris told the Washington Post. โ€œShe loved him, and for that reason, we have love for her as well.โ€

  • โ€œWe hope that she knows he is safe, he is happy and he is loved,โ€ Brittany added.
