- In first place: Photographer Julie Gould's shot of an Atlantic puffin mid-flight at the Ingolfshofdi Nature Reserve in Iceland.
- In second place: The “fairy tree,” a shot by Jonathan Fleuchaus capturing a miniature tree growing out of a small log in Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
