🔎 The case of the missing tape

Bill and Aileen Turnbull got married in Scotland in August 1967. The happy couple only watched their wedding video once on a borrowed projector, before the tape was later misplaced. For 58 years, they never thought they'd see it again. 

😮 That is, until this year... when Aileen stumbled upon a post on a Mastrick, Scotland, Facebook group with a photo of her and her husband on their wedding day asking if anyone recognized the couple. “I was absolutely amazed, I couldn’t believe it,” she said. 

• The post was shared by Terry Cheyne, who found the tape at his uncle's house earlier this year. He had been trying to locate the couple for over six months before Aileen found the post. 
• Bill and Aileen, who now live in Australia, couldn't believe Terry had their tape all these years later. "We both can’t thank him enough,” Aileen said. “We can’t wait to get over there and meet Terry in person and thank him properly."
