Meet Simone👆, a seven-month-old pit bull pup who spends her days playing and cuddling with school students in her role as the official therapy dog of University Middle School in Memphis.
Her story started bleakly...Simone and her two brothers were found last summer after quite literally being dumped in the trash and abandoned in a cage for days. Each pup was covered with mange, malnourished, and each with eye infections and sores, but Tails of Hope Dog Rescue helped nurse them back to health in the months that followed.
But ended happily: Simone has since been adopted by Sally Parish, the Superintendent of University Schools, who has trained her as a certified therapy dog to work every day in the middle school. Simone provides all the cuddles and self-soothing the kids may need, and is rewarded with pets and love for life🥰.
