… Ronan the sea lion is also incredibly talented. The 15-year-old California sea lion has impeccable rhythmic skills, bouncing her head along to the beat of music of multiple different genres and tempos with incredible accuracy.

• Before Ronan, it was widely believed that only humans, primates, and some parrot species could recognize musical beats—but Ronan has scientists rethinking these theories.
