👎 No (69%) – "I think the psychology of violence against children from adults is clear. In their formative years there is a high risk that that child will then resort to what they see as justifiable violence when frustrated, angry, fed-up, or even problem solving."

• "I have yet to see substantial evidence that corporal punishment effectively gets to the root of the problem. As someone who was spanked as a child and now an educator and parent, corporal punishment does not teach the child anything other than to fear the adult, lose trust in adult figures, and that hurting others is okay."
