👍 Yes (40%) – "Student loans have often been predatory and in many cases people are only paying excessively large amounts towards inly the interest by design. Biden’s plan begins to take actions to address the flaws in this system and allow more movement of capital in society."
👎 No (52%) – "Student loan debt is outrageous, but forgiving the loans outstanding won't help the issue. The solution lies in reducing the cost of education (higher education fees include paying the salaries of support staff that are not involved in the education of students ever) and limiting loans to all applicants. College loans should not be given to those getting degrees that will never result in a career where the applicant won't make enough to pay the amount of loan back in 7 years."
🤷♀️ Unsure/other (8%) – "College tuition and debt are cartoonishly out of control. So I know without a doubt that something needs to be done; some reform needs to happen, some regulation needs to be instituted, and some kind of assistance needs to be offered to borrowers. But I'm just not sure that throwing $10k at each individual is going to improve their lives in a significant enough way that it helps to solve the problem. I'm open to being convinced though."
