Do you think the US government is doing too much, too little, or about the right amount to combat climate change?

📉 Too much (22%) – "There is no logical plan. Nothing done makes sense in the context of actually addressing the issue. Nuclear energy is the best scientific alternative but we invest in wind mills instead."

📈 Not enough (58%) – "Our government hasn't done anything substantial about climate change for years. They do a few surface level things to appease those of us that care, but basically they haven't stopped any of our poor habits that affect the climate, nor have they worked on getting our country off the grid and off oil."

• "Just as in wearing seatbelts, smoking cessation, picking up litter, or anything else the government wanted to coerce its constituents into doing, the government could enact incentives to get its population to do what's necessary to protect the planet. But our government does nothing of the sort."
• "After reading the Donut the other day and seeing that “only 5% of plastics get recycled every year in the USA” is JAW DROPPING’!!!!! What’s the point of even recycling at home or out in public, if it just ends up the same landfill! What are we even doing to protect this planet?? I feel completely helpless now. Citizens are doing their part to keep the planet better, but what is the government doing?? Apparently nothing. Incredibly disappointing."

👌 The right amount (20%) – "I think the government is doing the right things policy wise, it's our citizens who often feel it's their ordained right to drive the biggest truck, waste the most plastic bottles, etc. Compared to Europeans, we are wasteful."
