👍 Yes (70%) – "It seems clear that Trump not only wanted to have his followers use violent and riotous tactics to show their loyalty to him, but he encouraged them to do so. He somehow actually believed the delusion that rioting in the Capitol could change the outcome of the election and did everything he could to make it happen. In any other situation, if the Capitol (or any major D.C. location) is under siege, the president would instantly be moved to a secure location. Trump didn't need protection because he knew ahead of time that he wasn't the target. The tweets, the conversations, the reactions at the time of the event... all of it demonstrates that he expected and wanted this to happen."
👎 No (22%) – "There is nothing criminal about suggesting that Americans exercise their right to assembly and speak freely. President Trump did not ask anyone to storm the capital. People were obviously at a breaking point, but not because of Trump, rather because they had been silenced and censored in so many aspects of American life. Blaming the events of January 6 on Trump only seeks to suppress the genuine concerns of Americans without addressing the issues that got us there."
🤷 Unsure/other (8%) – "I feel like there is way more to the story. Idk, ever since the beginning I knew something was very strange about what happened on Jan 6. While I did vote for Trump in the 2020 election, I do believe Trump did play SOME sort of part as to what happened, but I don’t think it was just him. Clearly, someone needs to be held responsible, I just don’t know if it should be ONE person."
