👍 Yes (38%) – "I can't imagine that we are the only beings in the universe. And while I think the vast majority of "sightings" are based on very explainable technology, I'm sure there are some that are alien in nature."

With the current identifiable history of ~5000 years on this planet, it is reasonable to believe that somewhere, a more evolved society is capable of traveling to this planet. Too many unexplained sightings for it not to be true!"

👎 No (40%) – "It's cost-prohibitive to travel that far. The energy required is staggering. If any of those things were aliens, they'd: a) be asking for help to get back, b) demanding enough resources to move on to the next stop, or c) dead. In any case, they'd be unmistakable."

• "We are too far and from any star or potentially habitable planet. Also, the likelihood of another life form existing at the same time as us (think billions of years of time) and with the technology to travel across space and that could find us is slim to none."

But when I consider just how large the observable universe (just the observable part) is, I start to wonder if the concept of making contact with alien is actually a statistical inevitability. For now, I don't know what's true."
