🔴 What Trump did was a more serious concern (48%) – "Biden, as far as I’ve heard, didn’t claim that he had no documents, and he has been cooperating with the departments that are trying to retrieve them. Trump claimed he had none, then returned SOME, then claimed that if he did have any that he’d declassified them magically, and then only finally gave them up by being forced to submit to a search. That to me is way worse and way more suspicious."

• "Trump seemed to purposefully take a trove of documents and then earnestly tried to keep them from being returned (and has said he wants them back). Biden has worked to turn over documents when found and has worked with the proper agencies to find any additional documents. The intent is important."
• "Biden did not intentionally hide these documents, and welcomed a search once it was realized. Trump on the other hand did try to hide the documents he'd taken and required a warrant to have them retrieved. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if other former presidents had documents they weren't supposed to. How they respond to it though is what counts."

🔵 What Biden did was a more serious concern (14%) – "Trump was President at the time that he removed classified documents from the White House. A President has some authority to declassify interesting, when if the extent to which and procedure is debatable. His documents were all found at a single residence. Biden was not President when he removed classified documents. He was Vice President, and possibly a Senator. He never had any authority to declassify the documents found. Those documents were also found at several locations."

🟰 Both were about the same (27%) – "There are strict and clear rules for handling of classified material. These rules are the same for everyone. Such disregard for handling requirements would disqualify most people from obtaining or keeping a clearance. It appears these rules are not being applied for Federal elected officials. Their disregard for vigilance in keeping our closely held information safe is disheartening and possibly criminal."

• "I am a government employee with clearance. I hear of many cases of people who have had their clearance revoked, fired, and even imprisoned for doing less than what Trump or Biden did. Why they get a slap on the wrist while Trump, Biden, and others get jail time is unfair and immoral? The president should be held to the highest standards, and failing to meet those standards should be indicative of their moral character and leadership capability."

The Democrats don’t want Trump to be able to run again, so they started his investigation. They don’t want Biden to run again either, hence the latest investigation."

🤷‍♀️ Unsure/other (7%) – "I don’t know enough about what specifically happened to say which situation was worse, only that both of them are seriously concerning. Whether you have confidential documents on accident or on purpose, they’re still in places they shouldn’t be."
