In your opinion, how long will Vladimir Putin, 70, remain the leader of Russia?

The next 0-2 years (39%) – "Putin’s downfall is coming very quickly. He just showed his hand that he is actually not as powerful as he thinks he is. The powerful oligarchs in the country have seen that he has a weakness and will use it to their advantage."

• "With all of his missteps, Putin’s day’s in power are limited. Good for Ukraine and the rest of the world. Although we need to be mindful of who will replace him... someone who will bring Russia to a democracy or someone else who is more evil and cunning."
• "Wagner got very close to Moscow. Not only that – they weren't wiped off the map, but were dealt with through diplomacy that leaves Putin vulnerable (leaders can still make decisions from exile). People will use the almost-rebellion as inspiration. And it's going to be sooner rather than later."

The next 2-4 years (24%) – "I don't think Putin is going away anytime soon, but the seeds of unrest have definitely been planted in Russia. I think it will still take a few more years for them to bear fruit, though."

The next 4-8 years (16%) – "Russia's elections are notoriously rigged, so he's not losing power from that avenue. Putin will remain president until he dies or a massive rebellion ends up taking power in Russia (most likely killing him, too)."

More than 8 years (21%) – "I feel like this "coup" was staged for media effect by Belarusian President Lukashenko and the Wagner Group, possibly to strengthen Lukashenko's position for a bid against Putin. The likelihood that Putin's power is so finished that his own armed forces did nothing to stop the advance seems very low, and certainly Putin wouldn't hesitate to ask his soldiers to fire on their own countrymen."
