Very large role (11%) – "You can't stop technological progress. One day we'll look back with disbelief at our society without blockchains and other crypto tech."

Large role (18%) – "Given the current trajectory of Bitcoin, I'm not inclined to bet against it. Crypto is in the middle of changing the economy drastically."

Medium-sized role (20%) – "Since only a handful of crypto coins have shown something akin to long-term stability, I think it will take a while – but crypto will eventually be adopted a decently sized audience."

Small role (29%) – "I don't see crypto as a substitute for actual currency. Who accepts it for goods or services? What is its use besides investing?"

• "I'm not sure that the average American is anywhere near ready to place their trust in the concept. I realize that this flies in the face of what crypto was made for, but until stricter rules and regulations are put in place, I feel we're a long way from seeing crypto as being a major part of the U.S. economy."
