In your opinion, should Trump be indicted on federal charges over his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election?

👍 Yes (71%) – "The evidence indicates that there is a reasonable suspicion that he broke the law. In a functioning republic, we are all subject to prosecution if this occurs, regardless of who we are or where we come from."

  • "What he did undermines our democracy, further spread election fraud disinformation, and emboldened his followers which led to the January 6th insurrection that not only caused a lot of damage but cost people their lives."

"Former president or not, you can't just do whatever you want and not expect the law to apply to you. Ignorance and/or arrogance have never been a satisfactory excuse to avoid prosecution."

  • "Our democracy is stable because there is orderly transfer of power. When you lose an election, you can be grumpy about it, but you step aside and get ready for next time. This "elections are only valid if I win, and only rigged if I lose," is dangerous for democracy and also childish to hear from a grown adult. If this comes out of anyone's mouth, I don't care what party they are, it should disqualify them from being a leader in our democratic republic."

"He literally tried to overthrow a democratically elected public official and put himself in the seat of power instead. If we were watching this happen in any other country, our media outlets would call it an attempted coup."

👎 No (20%) – "This is starting to feel like the boy who cried wolf. As an independent, I don't want Trump back, but it seems like Democrats are throwing whatever they can at him and hoping something sticks, and yet here he is. It's sad to me that in a country as great as ours, these two are our choices for president."

  • "Assume for a moment that technology was used to alter votes and install a politician into a position of power. Would you not insist you have a right to challenge this outcome and correct the wrong? Or would you prefer to be forced to remain silent under the threat of a federal offense (which strips you of other rights)? This has nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with what freedom truly means."

🤷 Unsure/other (9%) – "The reports we receive come from various media outlets. We do not have the information that the DOJ has, nor do we have reliable or accurate information from any other sources. Without this info, it is mere speculation as to whether he committed any crimes."
