Should Congress keep authorizing additional funding to support Ukraine in its war against Russia for the foreseeable future?

👍 Yes (44%) – "It’s a very simple moral and human rights issue. Putin is a dictator that was authorized the killing and torturing of thousands of innocent Ukrainians. Sitting back and allowing him to continue doing this, while taking over someone else’s home should be against every American’s moral compass."

  • "Ukraine is weakening our biggest geopolitical adversary without a single American life being lost, while also defending democracy. Why would we stop helping them now?

"Historically the United States has protected the weak, and we should continue to do so. Besides, Putin is a bully and a dangerous one. If he is allowed to bulldoze his way thru Ukraine what’s next? Poland? Finland? Better he be rebuffed in a non-NATO country so our troops do not end up fighting in a hot conflict in Europe."

  • "Because this is a war of aggression against Ukraine -- and if Ukraine falls, they will NOT be the last anymore than Poland was the last to fall to Nazi aggression. Putin's Russia is our enemy. He stands against everything we should stand against: authoritarianism, totalitarianism, fascism."

👎 No (38%) – "Our spending is reckless. This administration is bleeding out money. I’m truly frightened for our children. Though I do think we do need to make strides towards preventing world conflicts, it should not rest solely on our shoulders."

  • "I am always of the opinion that I don't mind sending humanitarian aid, but that is all. Countries need to deal with their own wars and stop expecting the US to just send them tons of money when we have enough problems here that are not being addressed."

"Our tax dollars are needed at home. The dollar is globally failing, and our credit has been downgraded. It's time for some self-care and we've already overspent. It's time for allies to step up and pay out. There needs to be an audit of money spent. It's been argued that this is a money laundering opportunity for elites. That requires an audit and investigation."

🤷 Unsure/other (18%) – "With so much uncertainty, there is no telling if additional aid will help or not. This could drag on for years and do we just have endless funds to provide? I feel for Ukraine and understand they need support but it shouldn't just be from the USA."

  • "It depends on where this money is coming from. If this is all from their military budget, yes, I'd rather they send all the help to Ukraine instead of building another jet or something. If military budget is gonna take most of our tax money, might as well do something good with it. But if they're neglecting the people by taking from the education, health and transport services, then I would argue that they need to stop."
