👍 Positive (18%) – "As a user, I used to not care about Twitter but since Musk has taken over, X has piqued my interest. Regardless of how X is doing as a company, I'm more interested in it overall and use it more now than when it was run by Dorsey. This type of company isn't Musk's strong suit by a long shot, but I like seeing him doing things differently."

• "X is better than ever. There is better exchange. Less bot armies and Twitter mobs. More good debate occurs. Verification of users is extremely important. I look forward to payment integration and using x four more things in more places."

👎 Negative (55%) – "I thought Twitter was a pretty vile space for discourse pre-Elon, but now it's even worse if that's even possible. There is absolutely no controls in place and misinformation is rampant under the guise of "free speech.""

• "Any major social media is already a negative in my eyes, but Musk’s baffling decisions, particularly the rebrand, over the last year have me feeling very down on the service. I feel we’re witnessing the decline and fall of Twitter in slow motion."

"I am one of the thousands of journalists who worked hard to be verified in the mid-2010s. I did that to prevent trolls from impersonating me to try to get free (and very expensive) subscriptions to the websites. As soon as my blue check was removed, and being verified became meaningless, my reach dropped from tens of thousands of views per tweet to less than 100. I realized my account was being actively shadowbanned, and that my tweets were suppressed since I won’t pay. The old Twitter recognized that having journalists breaking news on the platform was valuable. The current X appears to only want paid subscribers around, and doesn’t care that most of what they post is unreliable."

"I don't have Twitter, but I didn't really have an opinion about it before Musk took over. To me, it was just another social media platform. But now, with his poor business practices and subscription services on a site that was originally free, it seems a little ridiculous to download the app, much less support a billionaire's desire for more money in his pocket."

🤷 Indifferent (27%) – "Twitter has always been a source of controversy and mindless drama. Musk tried to mitigate that without taking away rights or liberties. Still, it's just another social media platform."

• "Twitter, like basically all other centrally moderated social medias, do so much damages to our mental health and society that I would never have one anyway. All one needs to do is make a Discord server and overtime add friends and family to it. Then, before you know it, you have a real social media with a collection of great people where it is good for your mental health."

"I don't participate in social media and saw Twitter as a threat to free speech under previous leadership. Now that Musk has the reins, I think free speech is much safer, but I'm still disenchanted with social media."
