What are your thoughts on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas?

"Imagine you're in your home and someone knocks on your door and tells you that it's THEIR home now and you gotta leave and they forcibly remove you, kill your family in the process, steal your land, put you in a small section of the land with little to no resources, restrict your movement, decide when you get to have electricity, water and other essentials to survive and then tell you you have to accept it and kumbaya with them. But then you get fed up and fight back to no avail and during those decades that you've been oppressed, you have people who rise up and act out. This is as basic as I can explain it. They stole the land from Palestine and this is the end result, PERIOD."

• "Before 1948, there was no evidence of the existence of Israel as a country. They occupied certain areas in Palestine and then started expanding, although there were deals later on with the Palestinians held by the West. Slowly but surely, the Jews began to occupy the majority of Palestine, except for Gaza and the West Bank. That said, how can someone defend if he is already the invader, the occupier, and the offender? How can someone blame the Palestinians resisting throughout the decades? Israel slaughtered thousands of Palestinians and everyday there is a crime committed against the Palestinians whether it is killing innocent civilians, demolishing homes, arresting children, controlling their basic needs like water, electricity, internet, medical services and preventing them from having the right to decide for themselves as a country or even having an army. Hamas only exists in Gaza, so what is the logic/reasoning for the mistreatment and murders of Palestinians in the West Bank through the years, where there isn't even a presence of Hamas there?"

"This appears to be a tale of abuse and trauma that we as people cannot help but perpetuate from generation to generation. There are no true good and bad here. Both sides see their cause as good and the other side as evil. At the end of the day, healing and self development is the long term cure. Stop the generational trauma which is being inflicted as we speak. The next generation of 'terrorists' are being bred right now, and they will feel justified in their future attacks because of now. The state of Israel does commit a significant amount of human right violations, but make no mistake Islam does as well like the morality police or documented cases in Afghanistan etc. We need to stop both and all sides from committing further atrocities which seems impossible at the moment."
