🥳 Excellent (17%) – "Cleared jobs in aerospace are plentiful. The workforce is aging and earlier career professionals have the skills to contribute immediately. This gives everyone in the industry mobility in the job market. Additionally, the government is terribly slow to clear people, so demand continues to outweigh supply. This also drives up the cost of this work. The commercial space industry is also pulling on this same work force. It's great for a later career professionals too, as the tide lifts everyone."
👍 Pretty good (24%) – "There is a massive shortage of STEM/Science teachers. Less college students in STEM teacher programs and more of our new teachers leaving the classroom due to stress and low pay. State school policies and social media pressures are making it difficult to keep our schools safe. This includes student misbehaviors and parent individualistic behaviors. There is a systemic issue across the nation and I predict it will get worse."
↔️ Average (23%) – "There are still many, many jobs in education. It’s hard to find teachers! I think in part, it’s because many teachers became disillusioned during covid and many have left the profession. Teaching tends to be a popular profession in times of uncertainty, due to its relative “safety,” so in my opinion, people are still feeling fairly confident."
👎 Pretty bad (21%) – "Companies are elongating the hiring process. What has typically taken 3 months or less now is extending out to 4 - 6 months. That's a sign of uncertainty and watching the human resource expense closely. My IT consulting business is also slowing -- projects are being shelved."
😡 Terrible (15%) – "My job is offering LESS money to new employees than they were 2 years ago. Within the industry itself it's easy to find jobs, but like human health care we are all burned out."
