👍 Yes (33%) – "I agree because it’s a step in the right direction. However, the pause feels politically motivated and therefore, cringy. A permanent stop and a plan for further reductions is what is actually needed. Where’s that candidate?"

• "I live in a community where natural gas is likely to be extracted and I fear for the safety in the quality of our air and water as a result. Look at the methane leak that happened in Porter Ranch!"

"If we don’t make bold changes in the name of preserving the environment we inhabit, the economic and mortality toll will be far higher than it may be in the short term for cutting off fossil fuels. It must be done if we want to give future generations a chance."

👎 No (48%) – "I am all for stopping fossil fuels when we are ready. It has already been proven we are not. Somehow the Biden administration thinks you can magically make us ready with a wave of his magic wand. All that accomplishes is making what is left of the supply cost more."

• "Either care about the environment (in which case you should pause all exports, not just the ones to non-allies) or enable all the businesses. This feels more like an election strategy than a legitimate policy choice, and I dislike being manipulated like that."
