Do you plan on buying the Apple Vision Pro?

👍 Yes (13%) – "Incredible new computing use cases will soon emerge - Apple usually isn't the first, but they are the first to get consumers hooked."

👎 No (73%) – "I try to only buy what I actually need and this is the definition of something no one “needs”. But it’s still pretty cool. I can see a lot of applications for an AR headset, if done well, which I’m sure Apple has done this better than anyone."

• "I already have an Oculus Quest 2 and I have no need nor want for a Vision Pro. With the apps, you can probably use most on a phone, computer, or tablet. As for the games, you can just get a cheaper headset to play them."

"It’s a crazy price (although probably warranted) for a device that I’m sure is years away from perfection. I’m not rich enough for that."

"The Apple Vision Pro feels like it would be more of a gimmick device than anything. Traditional Apple products like the iPad and iPhone will more than likely still be the best way to experience the apps, and there are already better VR and AR devices on the market. For around the same price, you can buy a very nice Windows PC and a Quest 3, which combined would be more powerful than the Apple Vision Pro. The AR features and Apple interface do not carry the headset enough for me to even think of investing that much money into one."

• "Seems like a neat toy, and by version 6 it will probably be really nice. Apple has a history of shipping half baked V0 products, and then figuring out what the product can and should do later. See the first iPhone (with no App Store), the first Apple Watch (half baked at best). I don't plan on donating to the Apple "what does our product do" fund this round, especially at that price point."
