📈 The divide has grown larger (71%) – "The divide has grown larger and there are a lot of factors that contribute to this. Cable television and misinformation campaigns are especially impactful at driving beliefs in order generations. I think that this is having the opposite effect to Gen Z, who are tuning it out and disengaging in politics as a result. This is all being done by design by the political machines and having deep consequences (hence the low number of younger generation reporting being happy). I hope after this election, these tactics start to devolve and we can focus more on common ground than deep divide."
"It's like I woke up and the whole world had changed. Suddenly it's cool to support Hamas and it's fine living with Mom & Dad in perpetuity. I'm 68 and I remember I wanted a job as soon as I could (16) so I could become independent and start a savings account. I did not get an allowance but I never went hungry and had a nice home to come home to after school. I did not talk back to my parents (but could still be naughty) and I never would think of swearing in front of them. It was God, Family and Country. I have no idea what the priorities are for Gen Z's. I'm proud to be a Boomer."
"There have ALWAYS been differences in opinions and experiences between generations. However, I think the rapid changes in technology, how businesses have treated their employees and the pandemic have made these differences even greater."

📉 The divide has grown smaller (4%) – "Each younger generation has always felt some animosity towards others, like with the anti-war Vietnam protests. I think things have gotten a bit better since then."
↔️ The divide hasn’t changed much (17%) – "This is just over politicized. People are people. Protest events aren't as large as the appear on TV. People change their political views multiple times as parties race to adjust their views to attract more people. Events happen (like 9/11) that rally a country. In the end, I talk to my neighbors regardless of age. I talk to strangers despite their political views. The youth have some maturing to do -- but so did everyone else at their age."
🤷 Unsure/other (8%) – "I think these groups change their opinions based upon which time of their life they're currently experiencing."
