If you were going to vote in the 2024 presidential election today, which candidate would you choose?

Former President Trump (30%) – "While I would love to see a female president, many of Harris' policies will be crippling for the US economy. The policies are designed to entice the lower and middle class to her but have serious economic implications. If she wins this election, I predict the economy will be in worse shape than it is today and we will be in a world war."

  • "I voted this way because RFK, who seemed like a genuine, goodhearted candidate, who leaned democratic, endorsed Trump. If he sees Trump as the best, most logical option, then I agree."

"The Republican platform is a better choice. We do not need more of what the Democrats say they will do - - what Democrats will actually do is continually in doubt based on their rhetoric and the media's willingness to allow them to deceive those willing to not face reality. Democrat foreign policy is all wrong. Inflation is the result of unfettered federal spending triggered by Democrat leadership in the White House and the Senate. Economic policy and border control will be better in the hands of Republican leaders. Trump is not easy to like for what he says but he has policies better for the USA and the world."

Vice President Harris (44%) – "Harris will preserve and fight for individual freedoms (women’s health, LGBTQ+, voting rights etc) She has a good and clear plan for the middle class, overall economy, healthcare, childcare. She will continue US global relationship with our allies and NATO. She is the best choice to advance a strong climate agenda."

  • "Because she will work tirelessly to protect women’s rights, all human rights, fight for the everyday person, bring stability to our nation. She is smart, capable, wildly talented (especially in comparison to the horrid alternative who will do whatever he can to tear our democracy further apart) and incredibly well versed in the actual workings of government. Also, not a small note here, she has empathy. One of the most important traits of a leader, one who actually cares for her constituents."

"Trump has no real proposals, most of his "economic" strategies will only add billions to the deficit. Despite what he says most cuts only favor the wealthy. His last tax cut gained me about $23 a month, not much to cheer about. Plus he does nothing but inflate facts and figures and tells outright lies about what's happening in America. Should also be talking about his age and cognitive abilities, he says the craziest and weirdest things. Overall there's nothing I like about him."

  • "I am anxious for our nation to get past the feelings of foreboding and darkness that some in our country are propagating. I think Vice President Harris has the energy and vision to begin improving the lot of the middle class which has been under pressure since the Reagan era."

A third-party candidate (11%) – "Do not like either major party candidate. We need to make alternative party candidates more viable and give them more access to press coverage"

Not planning to vote/Too young to vote (8%) – "Although i am currently un-eligible to vote because of my age; believe that former president Trump should be elected into office. Thee are many reasons people are with trump for instance his petition to take action and bring inflation down will help with the current dilemmas like families being unsure if they can afford meals; this also contributes to the current house market and dropping prices for those. I think many voters focus on things trump has stated in the past like 'Project 2025' and yes, it is something former president Trump has stated but it is not currently his vision for this election and not one of his current goals listed."

Unsure/other (7%) – "I'm definitely not voting for Harris, but I don't really like the idea of voting for Trump. It would be a tremendous upset if Trump didn't win Indiana anyway lol. I think I need to educate myself on local elections and invest in making the right decision for those candidates."
