Very confident (38%) – "This is run by people who take their civic duty seriously. HOWEVER, I am concerned moving forward because the losers and election deniers are taking steps to "fix" the elections in the future. There needs to be greater oversight, with bipartisan + independent input."
"There are easier and mostly legal ways for foreign powers to mess with our elections than by directly manipulating results, and we have direct evidence that they do just that. Social media makes it stupidly easy to manipulate us. No reason to think they’re risking larger consequences by directly hacking voting systems."
Somewhat confident (17%) – "I don’t think the people who are counting are trying to do anything unethical and the rules in place are good. I still think somethings may slip through though. It is good to hear they get rid of people with change of residency. It seems like I could’ve voted in MI after I moved away."
Neutral (11%) – "You can never be positively sure that your vote is being counted. Especially since some people that are in our government try to twist things in their favor. But I like to think that hopefully that doesn't happen."
Somewhat unsure (20%) – "I've participated in the voting polls and saw the great care and integrity of those who vote in person and the absentee ballot process. Yet, the increased use of electronic machines that count and tally, especially those which are connected to the internet, is unnerving when we consider the importance of voting. More concerning is the lack of control of ballots when they leave the control of officials - such as we see with mail in ballots. The chain of custody and the identity of the voter is based solely on trust. That's where it breaks down."
Very unsure (14%) – "There is no question that voter registration and voting has been compromised by illegal immigrants and mail in voting. Both lead to mass amounts of voter fraud. The integrity in our elections has been lost and can no longer be trusted."
