In your opinion, what’s behind the growing ideological gap between younger American men and women?

"The ideological gap between young men and women could, in my opinion, be due to the increased educational opportunities given to women over the past decades. I think that it’s a kind of correlational trend, where the more educated women are, the more likely it is for them to be more liberal, considering it’s thanks to liberal ideologies that gave women an education in the first place. Plus social media has to play a giant role, in terms of keeping the gap as a gap. Thanks to the algorithms on every social media platform, people typically only see the things they want to see, never anything from the other side of their own views and opinions, making it easier for women to have their ideals, and men to have theirs."

  • "Women are finally having their time to shine because society and laws are finally normalizing to offer them equal benefits and protections. What we’re seeing now is the turn that happens during the correction process and maybe men are actually trending where they’ve always been but just wasn’t measured accurately because you know that presentation was suppressed."

"I think it is the knee-jerk reaction for people and societies to over compensate when things seem out of whack. In this case, women have been put ahead of men in every facet of life and the focus has been on women and totally taken away from men--and the young boys who had nothing to do with any of this are the one who are suffering for it. Males need to be needed and they are told they are not needed anymore. By and large, a man will do whatever it takes to provide and protect for his family, but he needs to be respected and needed. The movement to make women "equal" "to men has gone way overboard and the only thing that will satisfy it is total domination. Well, now it's just about here. Do we like the results?"

"More women are inclined to explore their intellectual abilities. Women are also more willing to embrace change, which is a necessity for societal progress. A third factor is that many women see and fear how conservatism has impacted their freedom and development in recent years."

  • "I minored in gender studies with a focus on masculinity and based on my research the newsletter basically covered it. The only thing missing was economic downturn in the past few decades, specifically men being unable to support a family on a single income makes them feel like “less of a man” compared to an idealized view of the past."

"Our grandmothers and mothers were instrumental in raising girls to believe that they can make their own decisions and have autonomy without the consent or permission of a father/spouse/boss. Gen Z women are the direct product of two generations climbing our way up to equality."

  • "Honestly, I think it comes down to careers. There are a lot more trade jobs available and in higher demand than ever right now. Construction, plumbing, police, fire, electrical, you name it. And traditionally men carry these careers, which leads them not attending college (for the most part) Men also think more “realistically” (conservative) and woman are more emotional and lead with their feelings, hence why they might support being more liberal."
