In general, how do you feel about President-elect Trump’s picks for his administration thus far?

👍 I support most or all of Trump’s picks (39%) – "This time around Trump has a much clearer view of what needs to be done and has four years to study and plan. Also now with both the house and the Senate mostly Republican, he many not have such an uphill climb to accomplish tasks."

• "Trump's Cabinet choices are fully in line with the expectations that he created during the Campaign. We learned from his first term that he does what he promises and these selections should be no surprise. In particular, the selection of Pete Hegseth for DOD is great. Pete is a military historian and Warrior who will reconfigure our Defense department to better represent our country."

"Trump is doing a much better job in his appointments for vital government agencies than the last time he was president. He is picking good candidates that know what needs to be done to turn around the blatant corruption and bias that the Biden administration has created in most of these agencies."

• "Our country can’t help others until we help ourselves first. There are too many polarizing topics that we won’t see progress with. Therefore, we need to get behind policies that most Americans can reason with - illegal immigration, boosting economy/creating job jobs, keeping money in America versus buying primarily from China, more aggressive approach in foreign wars to hopefully lower international death tolls and reduce US funding/weapons supplies to other countries."

👎 Trump could have chosen better in most or all areas (42%) – "Trump is choosing loyalty over a thoughtful, thorough process. This could be a disaster for the US. Disruptive change can end up positive, but bringing in people who will unravel massive systems may take decades to see all the results."

• "It does not appear Trump is picking people for his cabinet because of they are experts or even have knowledge in a specific subject, but only because they are "Yes" men and women for him."

"I don't approve of any of Trump's policies. I think everything he has proposed will be overwhelmingly harmful to U.S. citizens and the world as a whole."

• "I feel extremely uncomfortable about the fact that an inexperienced TV host would be chosen as our Secretary of Defense. It also seems like the perfect post for propaganda distribution."

↔️ It’s a mixed bag – some good, some bad (19%) – "While I am almost certainly going to disagree with most of the view of most of these people, at least he's picking staff with actual experience this time around. Which should at least avoid a lot of the "stupid" from his first term."

• "I did not vote for President-elect Trump but I am anxiously waiting to see what his administration will accomplish and how they will “make America Great Again”. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt. I find it odd the Republican Party was so critical of President Biden’s administration and their emphasis on going electric in the automotive industry and then Trump has Elon Musk heavily involved in his administration . I also find it odd he has created a new area to reduce excess in government. Why create a new area when you want to shrink government? Why not just have the 2 gentlemen appointed do the research, make recommendations, etc. I find some of this a little unusual but am hoping they succeed."
