How do you feel about the FDA’s ban on flavored e-cigarettes?

👍 Agree (72%) – "As a mid school teacher, I've seen too many kids attracted to vapes who would never smoke cigarettes. Their product of choice is always the sweet flavored vapes. While I would agree there are fewer being used today than in past years, I believe the ban is a big part of the reason for that. I don't want to go backwards."

• "I agree it promotes usage for our younger population and it’s extremely harmful to their health. We need to promote healthy habits."

"Flavored e-cigarettes shouldn't have ever been a thing. Making it 'easier' for kids to pick up unhealthy habits is insane. Also, the argument that they are better for you than traditional cigarettes is rife with issues; that's like saying people should be ok giving out opioids to whoever wants them because at least it isn't heroin. Neither are good for you!!"

• "I feel like smoking should be banned worldwide. It is just unhealthy for you and dangerous to inhale so why are people still smoking? Vapes and cigarettes are basically the same thing, both can be harmful. It does not matter the flavoring or this does that or something else. What matters is that it is unsafe either way and it needs to end. I see this as a step to having a healthier society as a whole."

"I know it can be seen as taking away freedoms that we have (which I do NOT support) but I think that if they are for the good of people and their health then its more acceptable IN SOME cases like this. "They should absolutely be banned. We were finally able to (more or less) get cigarettes under control, and then they brought out vaping. It's definitely catering to young people, and it's really dangerous. Keep them banned."

👎 Disagree (16%) – "When we talk about vaping, we are usually referring to flavored vaping. The vast majority of vape usage in the US is with flavored products. Banning flavored juices is akin to banning vaping as we know it, and if that is the case, why is vaping suffering harsher scrutiny that the far more dangerous alcohol and smoking tobacco? Is the vape lobby just being told to pay up?"

• "While I have never, and will never, smoke/vape, I'm sure many adults enjoy the flavored types, so I think it's silly to ban something that adults like that minors use. Where is the line drawn? What's next to ban?"
