👍 Yes (21%) – "I still believe that our independent jury system is the best in the world although I do believe that some judges make rulings with a partisan bias in some cases. That erodes confidence in the very system that otherwise works the way it’s designed and supposed to work."
👎 No (79%) – "US Courts are a "pay to play" system where the average person can't afford to participate. The cost of defending one's self against a civil suit can easily bankrupt the average household, and the cost of bringing suit is beyond the means of the majority."
"Clearly the weaponization of the judicial system against Donald Trump magnified the problem of unequal justice, but then the pardon of Hunter Biden, and the failure to punish crime led by activist progressive judges in most metro areas is the clincher."
"At the local level, I feel jurors do not have the critical thinking skills needed to fairly and impartially weigh a person's guilt or innocence. Also, politically appointed judges are often not ruling fairly. Finally, our Supreme Court has been tainted by corruption and grift, making the highest court in our country the laughing stock of the world."
"Hard to have confidence in the courts when politicians are not held to the same standards, corporations are prioritized over people, and our own Supreme Court justices have conflicts of interest in the form of inappropriate gifts, trips, etc."
