In general, do you want to see Trump administration policies that have reached the Supreme Court be upheld or overturned?

Upheld (27%) – "I guess I'm just confused. Did it go to the Supreme Court when Clinton fired 380,000 workers? Are we just halting anything Trump does? This is what we voted for. We have a massive issues with immigration right now. The country is united on this, and it's why Trump won. I support reducing government; I support refusing refugees and using wartime deportation powers, though wartime is only necessary because it's Trump doing it. Everyone supported Obama's deporting of three million immigrants. The only one I'm not 100% on is birthright citizenship. I support the idea that is a child is born in America, he/she should have birthrights."

  • "Our federal government has become bloated with surplus employees, fat budgets, and nanny state intrusion into our lives. In addition, entire departments have been weaponized to punish political enemies. Downsizing should be as easy as upsizing. If it can grow out of control, it should be capable of shrinking as easily. If that means the president should have the power to do so, then so be it. All I know is, someone better do it, and soon. We are now sitting on some $36 Trillion in federal debt, an obscene number that may very well be impossible to reduce significantly. Service on the debt is approaching $1 trillion a year. In 2024 interest payments on the national debt were 13% of total federal spending, or $892 billion, the 3rd highest spending line, after defense and Medicare/Income Security programs. And it's projected to reach $925 billion in 2025. This has got to stop.. somehow, some way. Trump is trying, but the Dems are fighting tooth and nail to preserve their unaffordable social programs and vote-buying handouts. We need to reduce drastic measures to cut spending and reduce debt. There will be pain. But the alternative is very ugly for our children, and will all come crashing down if left unchecked. I wholeheartedly support every effort of the Trump administration to reduce the size of government, cut spending, increase tariffs, expel illegals, increase oil production, and reduce the federal debt."

"This is an awkward question. If by "upheld", you mean the Trump Administration action vs the federal or lower court judgement, then I say yes - I want to see the Supreme Court supporting Trump. But I'd also like to point out that we are seeing the complete abuse of the legal system and attempt to use the legal system to stop the cleaning up of the Executive Branch - an action that is within the realm of the president's power to do provided he can continue to support the laws on the books. But this abuse of the legal system also is pointing out the politicalicized nature of the Judicial Branch which has its own house cleaning to do. All this is healthy for our country and necessary if we are to survive."

Overturned (48%) – "The Executive Branch does not possess unlimited, unchecked power. Trump cannot do whatever he or his benefactors want under our system of government. His policies are cruel, unlawful, and set dangerous precedent for the way he will or will not be allowed to govern."

  • "The actions being challenged in the courts are clearly unconstitutional, but the current administration is just shoving ahead and taking actions that are not within the powers of the Executive Branch. It is unfortunate that the Legislative Branch will not use the power it has in the Constitution to stop these illegal shutdowns and spending cuts, so it’s up to the Judicial Branch to remind everyone what the Constitution says."

"The U.S. government was set up to have three equal branches, with checks and balances on each other. Trump is grabbing unilateral power that would make the Executive branch more powerful than the Legislative and Judicial branches."

  • "I hope these are all overturned. Doing so will set a precedence for the administration to work in collaboration with Congress, etc. to administer changes (like all presidents have done) rather than the unilateral, rushed, and brash decision making that is happening now. We need to remember that Trump is setting a new precedence for how government can function. I think that people who voted for Trump are comfortable with this style because they support the issues but would they also be comfortable with these governance tactics if it was carried about by a different administration whose views they oppose?"

"Because the majority of trumps agenda is not in alignment with our Constitution. He is trying to steamroll over court objections. What I find troubling is that he is trying to convince the Maga crowd that the judges are just one person getting in the way of his progress, when those judges represent the huge spectrum of our legal system, which is the difference between what our country is supposed to be about and chaos. I think that this is by design, use the judges as scapegoats and turn people against them. This is not an American ideal."

It depends on the policy (21%) – "I think people sometimes forget that the Supreme Court's job is not to determine what is best for the country (by whatever metric you want to measure 'best') but what is Constitutional, as well as taking into consideration precedence and context. While all court justices bring their own biases, I have immense respect for the intelligence and work justices on both side of the aisle bring. I have often seen Supreme Court Decisions made over aspects of the law I didn't even know exist. I want the Supreme Court to continue to do their job - make decisions on a case by case basis on what the Constitution and law says, not on what my mildly informed opinion may think."

  • "Regardless of how I feel about the administration, good policy making has to be handled on a case-by-case basis regardless of source or political intent. The fact is that some of these might be sound and some of them might be legally insufficient; I need the time to determine that on the merits of each, and so do the courts. The deluge of EOs and policy changes have thus far made that very difficult, and I am eager to read the court decisions."

Unsure/other (4%) – "I have mixed feelings about the use of Executive Orders to make changes to the government. They're relatively new in the legal scope of the country. While I personally support most of what President Trump is doing to reign in the size of government and settle issues of rampant illegal immigration, I don't know if Executive Orders is the most appropriate tool to achieve those ends. I would like to see the Supreme Court weigh in on these matters and interpret them against constitutional law. Where they fail, Congress can take up the mantle. Where they pass, we can consider the issue settled."
