Approve (31%) – "I approve because Trump is pushing for everything the Republican party stands for. No more female discrimination since biological males cannot dominate women's sports anymore. Trump is pushing for a smaller government by removing employees. The tariffs are creating a reliance on American (domestic) products rather than foreign markets. Trump is pushing for America first, not the world."
"When you have many decades of gradual government bloat, inefficiencies, and corruption, it is always painful to change from the status quo. The house cleaning and realignment of foreign policy and trade agreements is 100% necessary to right the unfair agreements of the past. And WHO, Paris accord, and even other UN initiatives were nothing more than an attempt to weaken the US sovereignty while making many group members rich under the guise of doing good when many of those initiatives are sketchy at best. So I think he is spot on doing the right things with the right speed. I love seeing the rats run and the corrupt scream "you can't do that"."
Disapprove (64%) – "He's just producing chaos and not creating any lasting meaningful change. He's creating more division in our country and is burning bridges with our allies. He is focused on filling the government with loyalists and punishing anyone who stands in his way."
"Deporting innocent people, firing thousands of government workers (including the forest service just before fire season begins), slashing basic human rights based on LGBTQ affiliation, and punishing elite institutions by cutting research grants are not moving our country forward. I don’t see how this ends well for anyone. The recession in our economy, human rights, and scientific discoveries (decades lost) is infuriating."
"Trump has displayed a brazen disdain for the Constitution, America's values, and the individual American citizen. His efforts are about purusing his own desire for power."
Unsure/other (5%) – "While no one fully understands what is happening in his head, Trump is a successful business man and is treating the country as a business. When the business is down and struggling, tough decisions have to be made to do a turnaround to make that business strong and profitable again. Do I agree with the way things are happening, not necessarily how I would choose to do things, but to some degree we need to trust that he does actually have the best interests of the United States in mind as he moves forward."
