In general, how do you feel about the way America’s role in the Russia-Ukraine conflict has changed since President Trump took office?

Support (26%) – "Trump tried diplomacy now he is looking at other options. Diplomacy should always be the first option, but not the only one."

"There can’t be knee jerk reactions. During Biden’s era, the Ukraine was corruption itself. The tv series of Zelensky as an actor made comedy gold of how corrupt they were."

Oppose (60%) – "We should never leave a country stranded the way Trump did. We showed weakness and now Ukraine is paying the price. Russia was on its knees just two years ago and we encouraged them to continue the war."

  • "Trump has prolonged the war by believing he can make a deal with Putin. The only way to beat Putin is to continue to support Ukraine with weapons and support, in my opinion"

"Donald Trump has weakened our allies and alliances at nearly every possible opportunity, including Ukraine. This in turn has emboldened our adversaries, who do not back down and are not afraid of his rhetoric. They seem to know Donald Trump better than the people who voted for him."

  • "The contempt for Ukraine's democratic government, and its European allies, is indefensible. The Trump administration's favoritism for Putin's Russia predates the 2016 election and has not benefited this country.Foreign policy ought not reflect domestic politics, but in this case, it is a perfect reflection of a morally bankrupt, corrupt, leadership."

"Much is at stake in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. While much of that centers on the conflict between two countries, the outcome of it can drastically affect the countries in eastern Europe who have developed as a result of the Cold War ending. The rest of Europe needs to support Ukraine, but the US should also provide support to them. Ultimately, the Russian people bear responsibility for ending the reign of terror within their own country."

  • "American support for Ukraine has been wildly erratic. It's pretty clear that Trump had been played by Putin since the beginning, and also repeatedly undermined by people in his administration with different agendas (including Vance and Hegseth, among others)."

Unsure/other (14%) – "I'm glad that Trump is finding friction with Putin. I don't think this war is one we need to be fully involved in, but I also think it's important for us to be involved at some level, so I'm glad Trump is no longer talking like Putin is his bestie. My heart goes out to the many Ukrainians who have been beaten down by this war and the many Russians who are unwillingly or unknowingly caught up in this. Putin does not care about his people, not truly, and he certainly doesn't care about the Ukrainians. I hope Trump can help bring this war to an end, but I'm also not holding my breath."
