Do you approve or disapprove of the job Trump has done as President thus far?

Approve (38%) – "I think Trump has done a great job so far but most importantly, he has done the job he said he would do. There have been no surprises in the first 6 months of this term. It's so frustrating to elect someone who never actually follows through on any of their campaign platform promises, so, more than anything, I'm glad he's actually following through."

  • "While his speech and visceral reactions to certain situations may not be in the best interest of the American people, I've had to look beyond his words and focus primarily on his actions. This is a prime example of actions speaking louder than words. I truly believe Trump is putting America first, and even if every decision is not going to result in world wide peace or bring peace to America, he is at least doing everything is his power to put his best foot forward, not for his, but for our benefit."

"Cutting waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayers money is a good thing. Enforcing our immigration laws that have been ignored will create jobs for Americans. If someone wants to immigrate do so legally. Illegal aliens sneak in then ask for or demand citizenship."

  • "I approve with caveats. He's doing the things we hired him to do. We did need to dramatically slow illegal immigration. I'm behind that. Some of the language and methods being used to do so seem excessive. I'm not a fan of the BBB as it brings the US into even greater debt, though I'm hopeful about the promising GDP. I'm also not mad that he, and the country, seems to be challenging the recent narrative and far left ideology, which in my opinion, was out of hand. As far as the tariffs, I believe they are just a negotiating tactic. I'm hopeful that in the end, he will make our economy boom. Oh, and my portfolio is doing quite nicely. For the record, I'm an independent who did vote for Trump in the most recent election, but not all of them."

Disapprove (54%) – "Trump was a national embarrassment the first time around and it's only gotten worse in this 2.0 version. He and his administration are doing everything in their power to destroy this country from the ground up. Our checks and balances aren't working. They're only executed half the time and even when they are, they're being blatantly and deliberately ignored. There's no accountability. His so called Big Beautiful Bill will harm Americans from all walks of life. It's cruel as a baseline and the amount being added to our deficit is egregious. The billionaire class will continue to gather wealth at unprecedented rates and the rest of us will be dealing with the repercussions of this for the rest of our lives."

  • "His “slash and burn”, poorly thought-out, ruthless cuts to social services and his destruction of the prestige and respect for the presidency have caused irreparable damage to the United States. He is clearly the absolute worst president in history!"

"It is difficult to overestimate the damage this administration has done to our internal and external infrastructure. From shuttering the EPA's research division, to firing direct-care healthcare workers, to arbitrarily and aggressively ripping apart trade agreements with both our closest allies and our closest rivals, to creating massive power vacuums with the closure of USAID, to sending proven vaccines back to placebo trials, to, somehow, despite all of this, STILL overspending. At least if our budget was at a surplus that would be some consolation. It isn't."

  • "He has not made enough effort to stop the war between Ukraine & Russia which he promised to stop day 1. He has not done enough to stop the war between Israel & the Palestinians. His tariffs are a joke. He was very involved with the pedophile, Epstein. He is removing voting rights, striping Medicaid and his immigration policies are horrendous. He is showing signs of dementia. Should I go on?"

"President Trump has accomplished some good things so far. Europe paying a high percentage for their own defense is something that should have been done many year ago. Immigration is another area where he has excelled limiting the numbers of immigrants crossing the border. However, tariff's and distancing our country from the rest of the world is a big mistake. I also do not respect someone who feels a need to call his adversaries names and attempts to control colleges, universities, media companies, etc. These are a direct threat to our democracy and shouldn't be allowed."

Unsure/other (8%) – "I feel a year will better tell the outcome of decisions Trump has implemented on American citizens and allies."
