"It would be good to see the war end but Russia should NOT be rewarded for being the aggressor. If Ukrainian territory is lost it should be balanced somewhat by Russian territory lost. Sanctions would be a great idea if they don't agree as it would almost certainly drive their economy, which supports the war, right into the ground without support from China and North Korea. We or Europe could also provide them with better weapons to strike far inside Russia and encourage revolt. Without nuclear weapons they would already be a paper tiger and if they did go nuclear that would spell the end of Russia as the world would not stand for it. Doing that might even wake up the spinless Europeans."
"Russia should absolutely withdraw all it's forces back to the boundaries that existed before this mess started. They are the aggressors here and are no better than the Nazi regime of WWII."
"Can you say Anschluss, can you say Sudetenland? Putin is following Hitler's playbook. Claim the area and dare the rest of the world to do or defend against. So far he has been emboldened by the world's so-so reaction, including the so called great negotiator Trump who can’t come up with anything but concessions to Putin. Hitler took it as weakness, so does Putin. The real answer is to immediately add Ukraine to NATO and send NATO troops to defend the border, at the same time providing Ukraine with weapons capable of hitting Moscow, St. Petersburg and other major Russian locations. Except for the hushed up loss of 100k troops, the people of Russia have been fairly immune to the effects of the war. Time for that to end. Let Russians get a taste of hat they’ve put Ukrainians through."
"Any peace proposal agreed to without Ukrainian assent is eerily similar to the Munich accords that gave the Sudetenland to Germany without the consent of Czechoslovakia. Mere appeasement. The Ukrainians should be at the table. No negotiations without a ceasefire."
