What are your thoughts on the upcoming end of the US government shutdown?

"Those who tried to use politics to hold the most vulnerable of our people to be held hostage by their grandstanding and who openly admitted it was for leverage should be removed from office. It was a total disgrace by them, and harmful and cruel to the people who are suffering in these trying times. It is truly reprehensible the way the ‘woke’ are trying to destroy our beautiful country. It is time for we the people to stop this tyranny and rise up and speak out and demand accountability from these traitors!"

• "The democrats did all of that just to get virtually nothing from it, as the republican senate members are most likely not going to vote to help a budget for healthcare. As a democrat, it's very disappointing seeing those who are leading the party continue to have no spine when it comes to the current administration and the damage they are doing t our democracy."

"It's about time. Representatives are elected to represent not to stonewall. They need to put forward fact based ideas, address the ballooning debt and streamline government using basic Constitution guidelines as standards. Government healthcare is socialism which has no place in this country. Churches and relatives used to take care of the poor/sick and should still be doing that although the 'high unnecessary costs' of healthcare are another thing that should be addressed in our increasingly unhealthy 'health' industry.
